Covid-19 Information & Documents

The Cloverdale Skating Club follows direction from the BCYK Region regarding Covid-19 procedures and protocol. The BCYK region distributes the information from Skate Canada so that our skaters, coaches and families can remain safe and comfortable throughout the pandemic. As a minor sport, we also have to follow direction from the City of Surrey.

Daily Health Screening

Skaters and/or parents are expected to do a self screen every day before coming to the rink, and must NOT enter the rink if any of the following apply:

  • Experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing;
  • Experiencing chills, headache, fever, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue or tiredness, body aches, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell;
  • A confirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis;
  • Travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days and not exempt from quarantine;
  • A close contact of someone with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and required to self-isolate; and/or
  • If directed for any reason by public health to self-isolate.
  • In order to keep our skating family healthy, we all must adhere to the above. It’s simple, stay home if you are sick. If one of our coaches notices that a skater appears to be unwell, they will be removed from their lesson and asked to leave the rink.

Mask Policy

Masks are optional.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please contact Amy or any member of the Board of Directors. As we all continue to follow the provincial health officer’s guidance and direction, we can keep each other healthy and safe and look forward to a successful fall season.
